Parents,

 

Welcome to kindergarten at Faith Lutheran.  I am excited about having your child in my class this year.

 

Let me introduce myself to you.  I graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Learning Disabilities.  I have taught for 28 years.  I was the itinerant L.D. teacher for two years for Johnson, Big Bow, and Ulysses, Kansas.  I taught 1st grade for seven years in the Ulysses, Pratt and Haysville school systems.  I spent two and a half years as a teacher for handicapped children in Pratt, Kansas.  I taught preschool children at Faith Lutheran and did substitute teaching for the Haysville school system for 12 years.  I have taught Kindergarten at Faith Lutheran for the past five years.

 

I have two daughters.  Melissa, age 27, lives in Mulvane.  She works as a receptionist in a doctor’s office and at Old Navy at Towne East.  Kristen, age 24, is a nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.  Her husband, Nick, is a welder and loves to hunt and fish.
